What is Canadian Dental Care Plan?
Canadian Dental Care Plan is a dental benefit for eligible patients whose family income is below $90,0000 and has no private insurance. This dental benefit introduced by the Government of Canada helps to make dental care affordable for the majority of the population.
Will all my dental expenses be covered by the CDCP? What services are covered and how much will be covered?
The Canadian Dental Care Plan covers dental services recommended by a dentist and includes diagnostic services (dental check-ups), restorative services (teeth fillings), endodontic services (root canal), prosthodontic services (dentures, etc.), periodontal services (dental cleaning), oral surgery (teeth removals)
If your net income is below $70,000, CDCO covers 100% of the dentist’s fee.
If your net income is between $70,000 – $79,999, the plan covers 60% of the dentist’s fee
If your net income is between $80,000 – $89,999, the plan covers 40% of the dentist’s fee
